Pinon Oaks has some of the best views of Watson and Willow lake from its upper hillsides all the way to the San Francisco Peaks located in Flagstaff.

Positioned 7 miles to Granite Mountain by foot, and only 1/3 mile from Granite Dells, hikers and photographers alike are bestowed a wonderland of towering rock and endless trails. Pioneer Park is literally just down the street and connected to Pinon Oaks via hiking trails. This back country walk is a favorite for pet owners. The park hosts a variety of activities including softball during the early summer (a huge tradition in Prescott) and was the site of the annual Fourth of July Independence Day celebration. During the week of the fourth, the park hosted bands, game booths, rides for the kids, and as much fun as anyone could handle! The event has since been moved to Watson Lake. However, the site for the 4th of July celebrations seems to change often, it just may reappear at Pioneer Park again soon. Destination America recently awarded Prescott, AZ first place for its community spirit, dedication to its fallen heroes, and capability of bringing the city together. Pinon Oaks also sits adjacent to the Antelope Hills Golf Course and Susie's Skyway! The golf course is a staple in Prescott welcoming travelers coming from 1-40. The course is one of the first landmarks a person sees when driving into Prescott via highway 89 from Chino Valley. Set against the the red rocks of Granite Dells in the morning...it's stunning. Susie's Skyway is a local restaurant right on airstrip with absolutely fantastic breakfast food. Seating is limited and the crowds are typical for early morning pilots.
